I’m an unintentional minimalist when it comes to hanging family photos and I struggle to fit all of the kids on my relatively bare walls. I have this really weird guilt if I have more pictures of one child up than the other, you get it. That being said for some reason this makes it feel really equitable to me. Each progressive photo shows the growth of our family. Since we have 5 kids (twins at the end) we needed four spots but you can customize this for the size of your family.
If you are like me then the family progression wall is for you!
Here is mine!
Steps:
- Find the spot in your house that you want to display your family photos!
- Determine how many spots you need. If you want to bulk it up add one of just you and your partner.
- Pick out the size frames you want. I’m a big fan of a thick mat.
- Print out the photos and lay it out.
I have another wall in the entry of my house that has pictures of married couples on my side of the family. I would argue counts as a family progression wall as well.
Happy Printing!
